Starting Over

Well it's been a long time since I last updated this blog. I've missed so much I'm not even going to try and catch up. My day to day goings on are not that exciting anyway.

Last week-end was a bit of a living nightmare. I ended up flying back to Tbay last minute because my Grandfather was put into ICU at the hospital. I spent the entire week-end either at the hospital or my parent's house. I was SO exhausted at the end of it. I didn't want to leave him but my parents kept insisting there was nothing I could do anyway. I know he would have been mad if he knew I'd been missing work to sit with him in his hospital room.

I spent most of my time there with him. On Sunday night my Mom and I sat up in his room with him all night. I laid down on the couch in the room for an hour and half. It wasn't as long a night as I thought it would be. I got to talk to him though which was my main concern. I wanted to see him and talk to him and I did that. I hope that he is still there when I return in September for Mike's wedding.

On Friday I went to see the Blue Jays play the Yankees at Skydome. (or Rogers Center as it is called now :P) It was fun watching the game but the Blue Jays played horribly! They lost to the Yankees 6-2.

Last night Auntie Carol and I hosted dinner with the gang. It was Italian theme night. Greg, Stu, Kate and Stu's friend Heather came. Heather brought lasagna, Stu made a tomato salad and kate made Italian sodas while I put together and antipasti tray and Auntie Carol made Strawberries Romanoff. Afterwards Shawn and Ally came by for a visit. Stu and Heather played a playstation Star Wars Lego game and I showed Greg some of my photos.
